  Took out a debt consolidation loan which required me to open a checking account from which automatic monthly payments on the loan would be taken. It was supposed to be a no fees checking account as long as "there were 10 account transactions in a month". Well, I start seeing monthly maintenance fees right off the bat. Customer service then "explains " to me that it's actually "10 debit card transactions " in a month. So I make sure that I have 10 debit transactions the next month, still get charged a fee. Call "Customer Service " once again to complain and I'm told, "Oh no, what we meant was 10 transactions in a billing cycle which for me starts on the 10th of the month to the 11th day of the upcoming month. NEVER HAD A BANK THAT WAS SO HARD UP FOR FRIVOLOUS MAINTENANCE FEES! Needless to say I will probably refinance that loan in a few months and get away from Regions Bank for good!
